For Teens
Being a teenager is hard. You feel under pressure to be well liked, do well in school, get along with your family and make big decisions about your future. You feel confused. You hear conflicting messages from your friends, teachers, parents, and society at large. You can't avoid most of these pressures, and worrying about them is normal. But if you are:
- feeling sad, hopeless or worthless for no reason and these feelings do not go away
- anxious and worried often
- very angry most of the time or overreacting to things
- losing interest in things once enjoyed
- showing declining performance in school
- feeling life is too hard to handle
- having difficulty with staying focused and completing assignments
- contemplating or engaging in risk taking behaviors
Then you might want to seek professional help.
Asking for help is the first big step. Willingness to change the ways you think and deal with your problems is another. I can assist you in these efforts.
